Ideas For 30th Birthdays

30th Birthday Ideas With A Difference
A "round birthday" can be an occasion to get a special gift for a loved one. How about a flagpole, not the cheap metal ones, but an attractive fiberglass one for the back yard, or a bench for the garden? The thought here is to get something durable and something that over the years, can be a reminder of love and admiration.
Then, there are 30th birthday ideas centered around doing something very special for a day or perhaps longer. The gift could be a hot-air balloon ride, a helicopter ride over a scenic area, or maybe a trail ride or vacation on horseback. If the recipient would like to go on a horse back trip but has never been on a horse, some riding lessons might be just the thing. A note of caution though. If the riding lessons are a success, having to buy a horse as a gift might not be too far down the road.
For the 30th birthday party, one can have anything from a formal dinner (30 seems a bit young for that, but it really depends upon what the birthday guy or gal likes to do), to a backyard cookout, or dinner for two or a dozen at a favorite restaurant. As far as a theme is concerned, talk to a couple of people you'd like to invite, and do a bit of brainstorming. If there will be people at the party that have been a part of the birthday person's life for many years, they will probably have lots of ideas as to where everyone might be able to go for a good time, a favorite restaurant, bar, or some other favorite haunt.
For the golfer or bowler a day on the links or an evening at the lanes with a small group of friends, followed by a cookout, could make for a fun time. Biker, with biker friends? Invite every one to come dressed to the nines in their leathers. Most bikers are very nice people, but you could still have fun scaring the neighbors. For the poker enthusiast you could either invite some poker playing buddies over for the evening, or invite a bunch more, rent a roulette wheel, set up some tables for poker and blackjack, and make it a Las Vegas themed party. The list could go on and on.
Maybe the toughest part in coming up with some 30th birthday ideas is that you have to have a good understanding of the birthday boy or girl's comfort zone. It's OK to take them a little ways out of that comfort zone, that's what can make a memorable day out of it. You just don't want to get too far out of that zone and end up with a celebration that the honoree would wish had never happened. Most people love to have their birthday's recognized, even though they may say otherwise. Keep it fun, keep it tasteful, but a little something out of the ordinary seldom hurts anyone. Happy 30th Birthday!
